About the Role

We are seeking a Proofer Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Proofer Operator, you will monitor dough quality and process controls, ensure adherence to production specifications, and maintain sanitation standards in the proofer and oven areas.

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 2nd
  • Hours: 2:00PM - 10:30PM
  • Weekend Availability: Required

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $18

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

  • Monitor units on proofer plates to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Verify floor batch time and dough texture for proper forming.
  • Set and verify process line control parameters to specifications.
  • Continually monitor controls to ensure product meets standards.
  • Track batch containers to prevent exceeding line capacity.
  • Verify targeted units per proofer plate meet specifications.
  • Perform general sanitation cleanup of proofer and oven areas.
  • Assist Oven Operator in maintaining process control of proof box and oven.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures and GMP standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to define and resolve issues.
  • Clear and legible writing skills and effective verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to participate in meetings and respond well to questions.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Prior experience in bakery or food manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with GMPs and safety protocols.
