Position Overview
Experienced Concrete Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial and industrial concrete projects, ensuring safe, high-quality, on-schedule self-performed concrete construction. This role will manage cast-in-place, tilt-up/tilt-wall, flatwork, mass concrete, and specialty flooring operations across multistory, high-rise, warehouse, manufacturing, and other commercial/industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site concrete operations for commercial and industrial projects, including cast-in-place, tilt-up/tilt-wall, and pour-in-place foundations and slabs.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise self-perform crews and subcontractors to meet project milestones and production targets while maintaining quality and cost control.
- Oversee all flatwork, slabs, mass concrete placements, structural concrete, specialty flooring, and decorative concrete installations, ensuring proper sequencing and curing.
- Coordinate logistics for material deliveries, concrete truck scheduling, pumping, formwork, rebar/mesh installation, and concrete placement equipment.
- Review plans, set layouts and elevations, verify subgrade and formwork conditions, and enforce compliance with design specifications and engineering requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of Concrete Construction experience
- Proven experience with cast-in-place, tilt-up/tilt-wall, slab-on-grade, flatwork, mass concrete and structural concrete construction.
- Demonstrated ability to self-perform concrete work and manage self-perform crews on large slabs, foundations, and specialty flooring installations.
- Familiarity with concrete repair methods, self-leveling overlays, decorative concrete finishes, and surface preparation/painting techniques is desirable.
- Experience with high-rise and multi-story concrete sequencing, tilt-wall erection, and large panel coordination.
