Veterinary Technician/Assistant - Emergency
Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency Hospital
Fort Collins, CO
Compensation: $18-$24/hour (based on experience)
Full-Time, Available Shifts:
  • Wednesday - Friday 6:30a - 6:30p
  • Sunday 3p-3a, Monday & Tuesday 6:30p - 6:30a

What You'll Do
  • Support veterinarians in emergency exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Assist with surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care
  • Provide nursing care and first aid to critical and recovering patients
  • Monitor and interpret patient vitals (BP, ECG, SpO&sub2;, EtCO &sub2;)
  • Collect samples and perform basic in-house diagnostics
  • Operate radiology and other diagnostic equipment
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Accurately document patient care and medical records
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sterile treatment areas
  • Collaborate with teammates to support efficient patient flow

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of veterinary experience
  • Emergency experience preferred
  • LVT/RVT/CVT encouraged, but not required
  • Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring and patient care
  • Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced ER environment
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset
