Provide leadership, professional development, and support to students, teachers, staff and administrators. Promote and advocate the use of innovative strategies that support student achievement. Assist in the development of curriculum, instruction, and assessment tools. Adhere to federal and state laws, as well as, district policies, procedures, and regulations.
Essential Functions
  1. Serve as an instructional leader by collaborating/planning with campus instructional coaches and administrators.
  2. Support district and campus projects and initiatives.
  3. Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment tools/software.
  4. Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver technology embedded lessons utilizing content specific Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and Technology Application TEKS.
  5. Provide models for teachers to differentiate instruction using technology to support a variety of learning styles and modalities.
  6. Support students by providing direct instruction and interventions to meet individual learning needs.
  7. Design, facilitate, and conduct professional development in collaboration with the campus instructional leadership team.
  8. Partner and collaborate with campus librarian to model creative and innovative uses of technology and promote information literacy.
  9. Coordinate annual online safety lessons and create and promote an environment conducive to innovative learning.
  10. Conduct an annual needs assessment, create an action plan, and work with campus leadership and the Technology Leadership Cadre (TLC) to develop the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP), implement and assess progress.
  11. Create and lead a campus-based TLC to support action plan implementation.
  12. Promote district policies regarding passwords, acceptable use, personal use of devices, and copyright law (Policies CQ, FNCE, and CY).
  13. Assist in the selection and acquisition of digital content, resources, and hardware that support digital literacy.
  14. Serve as the primary campus webmaster and social media manager to ensure that content follows district guidelines, is current, and of the highest quality.
  15. Keep current with district approved hardware, applications, and digital content/tools.
  16. Maintain current student device inventory and assist with inventory of campus equipment and technology.
  17. Perform minor configurations and updates of devices and/or make arrangements with the Technology Information Services (TIS) department for needed repairs/support.

Communication
  1. Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, principals, colleagues and community members.
  2. Conduct frequent conferences with parents, students, teachers and principals to ensure all student achievement is discussed and communicated.
  3. Use clear, effective and professional communication.

Student Growth and Development
  1. Provide formative and summative assessment of student achievement and use results to provide feedback and plan instructional activities.
  2. Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal taking all safety precautions.
  3. Be a positive role model for students and support the goals and mission of the campus and school district.

Classroom Management and Organization
  1. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
  2. Assist in the selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials.
  3. Compile, maintain and file all reports, records and other documents required.

Professional Growth and Development
  1. Participate in training and staff development activities to improve job-related skills, keep up with best practice, keep informed and comply with state, district, school regulations, in addition to state certification requirements.
  2. Keep up to date with changes in the TEKS curriculum.
  3. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

Other Responsibilities
  1. Attendance at the work site is required to meet the essential functions of the job.
  2. Maintain a professional code of ethics; present a professional image in grooming and attire, and serve as a role model for all students.
  3. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Virtual and Online Teaching Duties (additional as assigned)
  1. Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies, activities, and resources for distance or virtual learning that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of assigned students according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.
  2. Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing during regular school business hours to confer with district personnel, students, and/or parents. Participate in meetings as required and/or coordinated by supervisors. Utilize the workday to plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate student work, lessons and activities.
  3. Communicate with students and parents for a minimum of one time per week via phone, email, website, educator communication app, or video/virtual conferencing.
  4. Respond to all correspondence from parents and students within the next business day of receipt.
  5. Create a virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; valid Texas teaching certificate with Technology endorsement, preferred; meets state and federal guidelines for certification; minimum three (3) years teaching experience; experience with Windows, Mac and cloud services; demonstrate successful technology innovations; extended knowledge of curriculum and instruction; demonstrated ability to provide professional development; strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing; moderate lifting. Movement of computers, equipment, and desks. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
