To thrive as a Virtual Information Technology Specialist, you need a strong background in IT fundamentals, networking, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting, often supported by a degree in computer science or related certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA. Familiarity with remote management tools, cloud platforms (such as AWS or Azure), and ticketing systems is typically required.
