Leads three or more production work centers to achieve safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals. Manages multiple work centers and manufacturing disciplines, monitoring performance and reinforcing operational discipline. Leads manufacturing-driven projects and cross-functional initiatives based on data analysis and customer feedback. Develops personnel to meet production forecasts and performance expectations. Ensures compliance with Methods of Manufacture (MoMs) and Manufacturing Assembly Instructions (MAIs) and partners with production leadership to identify costโ€‘saving and continuous improvement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred or 5+ yearsโ€™ experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the assembly of electrical switchgear and/or power generation equipment.
  • 4+ years of leadership and/or supervisory experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certified, or actively pursuing.
  • Leads multiple manufacturing disciplines and work centers to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
  • Proficient in ERP systems used in manufacturing environments (IFS, SAP, Oracle preferred).
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, operational manuals, safety rules, and standardized work instructions.
  • Analyzes production data and prepares reports to communicate performance versus goals (safety, quality, delivery, labor).
  • Drives safety, quality, and productivity improvement initiatives across assigned production areas.
  • Partners with HR on employee development, performance reviews, and workforceโ€‘related initiatives.
  • Applies corrective and preventive action (CAPA) best practices to address quality, delivery, and operational issues.
  • Leads manufacturing projects and crossโ€‘functional initiatives to close performance gaps and deliver timely results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production scheduling software.
  • Communicates operational performance, risks, and improvement actions to manufacturing and plant leadership.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of production processes and their impact on schedules, capacity, and due dates.
  • Interfaces with Engineering to resolve design issues and minimize production disruptions.
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment preferred.
