Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing production, providing leadership to the manufacturing team, and facilitating the production process to ensure the achievement of all manufacturing objectives. This person works with the Production Leads, other members of management, and employees in their facility to oversee the production floor, manages the human capital plan, drive operational excellence, and direct capacity management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manages daily operations to include delegation of work assignments.
  • Drives team goals and focuses on SQDCI. Takes ownership and pride of department.
  • Troubleshooting production problems (i.e., equipment, processes)
  • Documents work performance and administers discipline.
  • Staffing control - manages vacations, leaves, job movements, to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Ensures adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assists with capacity planning and new production development work.
  • Culture of Zero adherence in safety and quality.
  • Drives process improvement and 5S lean manufacturing principles.
  • Timekeeping responsibilities (ADP)

Required Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Three years relevant experience

Preferred Education & Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in a production control/planning environment preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge, experience using an ERP system desirable. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). SAP experience desirable.
