Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Vice President of Patient Care Services, you will serve as the executive nursing leader for the organization, providing strategic and operational oversight for nursing practice, patient care delivery, and clinical operations across the campus. Reporting directly to the President, you will translate organizational priorities into exceptional patient care outcomes while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with physicians, executive leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen quality, patient experience, employee engagement, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Every day you will champion nursing excellence by leading the development of clinical strategies, advancing evidence-based practice, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. You will oversee nursing operations, workforce planning, and resource management while empowering leaders to achieve operational, financial, and quality goals. As a visible executive leader, you will cultivate strong relationships with physicians, caregivers, and community stakeholders, creating an environment where collaboration, innovation, and compassionate care thrive.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Provides executive leadership for nursing practice and patient care services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care across the organization.
  • Leads strategic planning and operational execution for nursing services, aligning clinical priorities with organizational goals and performance objectives.
  • Partners collaboratively with physicians, executive leadership, ancillary departments, and community stakeholders to enhance patient experience, physician engagement, and clinical outcomes.
  • Oversees workforce planning, staffing strategies, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient care.
  • Fosters a culture of professional nursing excellence by supporting shared governance, clinical education, leadership development, and evidence-based practice.
  • Drives quality improvement initiatives by utilizing performance metrics, patient outcomes, and operational data to improve safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
  • Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and ensures regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and adherence to professional nursing standards.
  • Serves as a visible and engaged leader, mentoring nursing leaders while cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Master's or postgraduate degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligibility for licensure in the applicable state through compact licensure).
  • Progressive executive nursing leadership experience within an acute care hospital or integrated healthcare system.
  • Demonstrated success leading nursing operations, quality improvement, workforce development, financial stewardship, and patient care initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with physicians, executive leadership, and multidisciplinary teams while influencing organizational strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving as a Vice President of Patient Care Services, Chief Nursing Officer, or equivalent executive nursing leadership role.
  • Experience leading transformational initiatives focused on quality, patient safety, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing professional practice models, shared governance, regulatory requirements, and performance improvement methodologies.
