Vice President of Human Resources


Lauber Community Partners is pleased to be conducting an exclusive executive search for our client, Goodman Community Center, located in Madison, WI. We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven Vice President of Human Resources to lead our client’s People & Culture function. Reporting to the President and serving on the executive team, this role will drive workforce strategy, strengthen organizational culture, and ensure HR operations to support long-term mission impact.


Goodman Community Center provides mission-driven programming, youth workforce participation, community-centered operations, participant employment integration, within a multi-department organizational structure.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Lead workforce planning, organization design, and staffing strategy
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and workforce regulations
  • Oversee employee relations and investigations
  • Advise leadership on organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and risk
  • Drive performance management, culture initiatives, and change management
  • Manage HRIS and People & Culture partnerships
  • Lead compensation strategy, pay equity, and performance review processes
  • Manage HR operations, develop and refine policies, procedures, compliance, and workforce analytics
  • Oversee HR budget, forecasting, and vendor partnerships


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Expertise in employee relations, organizational development, and compliance
  • SHRM Certification required
