The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM's Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking Vice President, International Marketing to ensure every international Advancement Office is equipped, developed, and heard, translating global marketing strategy into local execution and channeling local experience back into global strategy in return.
This position may be based remotely within Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, or the United Kingdom, or from an IJM Advancement Office in one of those countries. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in their country of residence. The position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Responsibilities:
Global Marketing Strategy & Channel Integration
  • Own the adoption of IJM's global marketing strategy, campaign frameworks, and brand standards across every Advancement Office outside the U.S.; act as accountable owner for consistent implementation;
  • Lead the integration of direct response, digital, and storytelling channels in each market, adapted locally without diverging from global direction;
  • Ensure local teams have the tools, training, and resources to execute with fidelity to global direction;
  • Support local leaders to uphold a consistent standard of craft and quality across Advancement Office marketing output;

Regional Team Development
  • Build in-market marketing capability, closing capability gaps through targeted coaching and development;
  • Foster a culture of craft excellence and mission-driven urgency, benchmarked against commercial marketing standards;

Advancement Office Partnership
  • Serve as the primary bridge translating global marketing strategy into actionable, market-relevant plans for Advancement Office Chief Executives and Regional Presidents;
  • Represent international marketing performance and priorities to the CMO, the Chief Resources Officer, and senior organizational leadership;
  • Escalate significant misalignment between global standards and market execution to the CMO, with a clear recommendation;

Product & Insights Adoption
  • Coordinate with the VP, Global Insights & Growth on the rollout, testing, and adoption of new marketing products and initiatives across international Advancement Offices;
  • Connect Advancement Offices to relevant campaign insights and research, facilitating the flow of regional learnings back into global planning;
  • Maintain active feedback loops surfacing what's working, what's not, and where strategy needs to flex;
  • Participation in IJM's community of spiritual formation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred;
  • 10-12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including international or multi-market leadership;
  • Proven experience building and leading regional teams within a matrixed or federated structure;
  • Experience partnering with fundraising or revenue leadership toward shared growth goals;
  • Deep expertise in campaign frameworks, brand standards deployment, and channel strategy across international markets;
  • Strong command of project and workflow management platforms (e.g., Teamwork, Asana);
  • Ability to translate global marketing strategy into locally relevant, market-specific execution plans;
  • Exceptional cross-cultural fluency and emotional intelligence across diverse global markets;
  • Outstanding communicator able to move regional leaders and international executive stakeholders with clarity and conviction;
  • Decisive and collaborative; able to lead through influence with Advancement Office Chief Executives who do not report to this role;
  • This role could require up to 40% travel per year (International and Domestic); and
  • Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles' Creed.
