Are you an experienced Veterinary Receptionist, Veterinary Assistant, or Veterinary Technician who enjoys both client communication and hands-on patient care? Prairie Ridge Animal Hospital in Wichita, KS is looking for a cross-trained Veterinary Customer Service Representative / Veterinary Technician to join our growing team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day and wants to work both at the front desk and alongside the medical team in a supportive, fast-paced veterinary hospital environment.

At Prairie Ridge Animal Hospital, we are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality veterinary care while building strong relationships with our clients and community. Our team cares for dogs, cats, exotic pets, and small farm animals and is committed to creating a positive experience for both pets and people.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has previous veterinary hospital experience
  • Enjoys both customer service and technical patient care
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Has strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Is comfortable working both front desk and clinical shifts
  • Brings a positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed

Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT) are encouraged to apply, but credentialing is not required.

Veterinary CSR Responsibilities

  • Greeting clients and pets with professionalism and compassion
  • Answering phones and scheduling appointments
  • Checking clients in and out
  • Managing medical records and invoices
  • Providing client education and follow-up communication
  • Supporting a positive client experience throughout each visit

Veterinary Technician / Assistant Responsibilities

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams and treatments
  • Patient restraint and low-stress handling
  • Laboratory sample collection and diagnostics
  • Assisting with surgery and dental procedures
  • Administering medications and treatments
  • Maintaining clean and organized treatment areas
  • Supporting hospitalized and outpatient pets
