Job description

We are a Veteran owned organization that takes pride in servicing our active service-members and Veterans.  We currently have two companies that service military personnel and Veterans in a multitude of ways, United Shield Life Insurance and United Veteran Benefits Agency.
Our mission is to provide each individual person with the support they need to transition from the military smoothly and with the education necessary to make informed decisions about their benefits. In addition, it is important to us that we ensure our Veterans receive the support they need to obtain the VA disability rating they have earned.
United Veteran Benefits Agency is currently seeking a Veteran Service Coordinator to support our team with current and prospective clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Be the first point of contact with potential and current client calls, including answering calls, checking voicemail, and responding to clients using both verbal and written communication.
  • Pleasantly and professionally greet prospects and clients when they enter the building and either speak with them about the service provided, process overview, complete pre-screen or notify appropriate staff that their appointment has arrived.
  • Review Prospect List, make initial contact and continuously follow up with prospective clients.
  • Use Salesforce to set up accounts, track, and ensure follow up.
  • Assist Veterans with supporting documents and online access.
  • Receive payments from Veterans and take deposits to the bank as necessary.
  • Coordinate office and business associate lunches, dinners, events, and meetings.
  • Work with Marketing to make and/or present awards/certificates for charities and award ceremonies.
  • Ensure the outside of the building and the reception area maintain a presentable and professional appearance.
  • General office duties including ordering supplies, mail, trash, etc.   
  • All other tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle daily task management.
  • Possess the ability to represent our company and brand in a professional manner.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role preferred.

The ideal candidate will also:
  • Possess the ability to move a prospective client through the initial process necessary to become a client.
  • Be a team player.
