Gas and Supply is the region's largest independent distributor of welding, safety, and industrial supplies, as well as a top national distributor of industrial, medical, and cryogenic gases. With a powerful footprint of over 50 locations across seven states.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Sales Representative who will also manage and supply our vendor locations. This is a hybrid role combining sales and vendor management. The Inside Sales position maintains current customer accounts, identifying a customer's specific needs and recommending the best total solution for that customer. This position builds and maintains long-term business relationships with customers. Our Sales representatives work with all departments within Gas and Supply, making them a crucial part of our company. This is a fulltime job position with benefits at our Slidell, Louisiana location.
What You'll Do
  • Support sales operations and customer service activities
  • Replenish inventory in vending machines and toolrooms
  • Perform warehouse tasks and local deliveries
  • Troubleshoot and repair vending machines as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple customer accounts
  • Prepare quotes and process customer orders
  • Track and submit delivery tickets and required reports
  • Build and maintain long term customer relationships
  • Identify customer needs and recommend solutions

What We're Looking For
  • Inside sales experience in industrial or welding supply (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class D license, or ability to obtain
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform delivery related tasks
  • Mechanical and technological competency
  • Proficiency with computers and business software
  • Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and safety supplies (preferred)
  • Ability to pass drug test and background check
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and attention to detail
