Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • The candidate must have demonstrated experience with the following:
  • Lead and conduct thermal hydraulic analyses, evaluations, and verifications for the BWRX-300
  • Power Systems such as Condensate Feedwater System, Feedwater Heater Drain Systems and Moisture Separator Reheater System.
  • Assist in review of vendor supplier documentation associated with secondary steam cycle Heat Exchangers.
  • Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams.ย 
  • As well as experience using AFT Arrow and AFT Fathom.
  • Perform calculations for relief valve sizing, control valve sizing, hydraulic calculations for pump sizing and piping sizing.
  • Manage project work schedules and priorities.
  • Provide on-time, quality delivery of equipment packages and engineering documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or greater in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or University.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in performing thermal hydraulic calculations, pump sizing and relief valve sizing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant roles associated with Heat Exchanger design or vendor document reviews.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant design codes and requirements.
