Essential Job Functions

  • Learn and interpret technical requirements from Naval customers and assist in implementing engineering solutions
  • Participate in product design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer specifications
  • Collaborate closely with in-house manufacturing teams and external vendors to support production schedules and resolve design or test issues
  • Assist with qualifying new vendors and developing strong working relationships
  • Support evaluation and approval of design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
  • Develop a working knowledge of Hunt Valve products, processes, and industry requirements
  • Create 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, with a strong emphasis on translating models into accurate, production-ready drawings
  • Gain hands-on experience through time spent in the manufacturing shop environment

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with teammates, leadership, customers, and vendors
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Familiarity with ANSI drawing standards and GD&T (training and mentorship provided)
  • High attention to detail when reviewing drawings, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and preparing technical documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and seek guidance when needed
  • Exposure to non-destructive testing (NDT), machining, manufacturing, or inspection processes is a plus

Security & Citizenship Requirement

This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NOFORN). As a result, candidates must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Have no dual citizenship
  • Provide acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship (U.S. Passport, U.S. Birth Certificate, or Naturalization Certificate)

Essential Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution

Experience:

  • 1โ€“5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Recent graduates with relevant internships, co-ops, or hands-on project experience are encouraged to apply
