Location: Juno Beach, Florida (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking an engineer responsible for performing engineering assignments ranging from limited scope to advanced projects that require expertise across multiple disciplines. This role involves increasing independence based on experience and includes a focus on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations. The successful candidate will work as an extension of the engineering team to ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and long-term performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project engineering responsibilities, including oversight of schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate with environmental, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Lead engineering reviews, value engineering assessments, and design optimization processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of engineering designs, project plans, and system specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Identify potential design risks and provide corrective recommendations.
  • Support the seamless integration of engineering work into broader project timelines.
  • Assist with project management, negotiations, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Engage in technical analysis, project coordination, and engineering oversight.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience managing engineering projects, including solar, BESS, or other power industry applications.
Technical Skills: Experience with large-scale engineering projects and strong project management skills are necessary. Driving will be required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Remote work may be considered for a candidate meeting all qualifications.
  • Expertise in specialized engineering functions such as Electrical/I&C, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or MOV Valve engineering.
  • Proficiency with computational tools like ETAP or EDISON.
  • Knowledge of ASME standards, GT Strudel, welding, or rigging.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr
