Job description

We're a well-funded, early-stage startup building our Value Engineering function from the ground up. This role is for a hands-on, technically sharp partner who moves fast, loves building from scratch, and works closely with founders, Product, and R&D to win complex enterprise deals.
You'll own the technical side of the sales cycle, from discovery through Proof of Value and close, while helping shape how our presales function scales.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Discovery and Solution Design
  • Lead technical discovery with prospects to understand workflows, requirements, and success criteria
  • Translate business problems into scalable AI-driven solutions
  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle

Demos and Proof of Concept
  • Build tailored demos that reflect real customer workflows
  • Run end-to-end POCs to validate fit and business value
  • Communicate technical architecture and expected outcomes clearly

Sales Support
  • Own RFP and RFI responses
  • Support architecture, integration, and security discussions
  • Partner with Sales to drive deals forward and differentiate Reindeer

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Turn customer requirements into actionable product feedback
  • Work with R&D for clean presales-to-implementation handoffs
  • Help build repeatable solution patterns and a presales playbook

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in Sales Engineering or Presales or Value Engineering
  • Experience with enterprise customers and complex sales cycles
  • Strong ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions
  • Hands-on skills with demos, prototypes, APIs, integrations, or system architecture
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of AI concepts and enterprise applications
  • High adoption of modern AI tools in daily work

Nice to Have
  • Experience with process mining, workflow mapping, or operational analytics
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms
  • Financial services industry experience

Compensation
The expected salary for this role is $200,000 to $260,000 OTE. This is a good-faith estimate but does not include equity or other forms of compensation. Pay will be based on experience level, and those outside the salary band are welcome to apply.
