DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a UAT Quality Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Rocky Mount, NC.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced UAT Quality Analyst to support a large-scale modernization initiative within an enterprise public-sector environment. This role will focus heavily on User Acceptance Testing (UAT), front-end user interfaces, workflow validation, customer-facing modules, and enterprise application usability.
The UAT Quality Analyst will work closely with business users, product owners, business analysts, developers, project managers, and agency stakeholders to validate enterprise applications and ensure that business and user requirements are successfully delivered. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), front-end application testing, workflow validation, SQL/database analysis, and Agile project environments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for enterprise modernization initiatives.
  • Validate front-end user interfaces, customer-facing portals, workflow functionality, and business process flows.
  • Collaborate directly with business users and stakeholders to validate business requirements and expected system behavior.
  • Develop and execute UAT test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and interface testing for enterprise applications.
  • Analyze business requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Work closely with Agile teams during sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, demos, and release activities.
  • Perform SQL queries and database validation to support testing and verify data accuracy.
  • Identify, document, track, and retest software defects and interface-related issues.
  • Coordinate testing activities across business users, QA teams, developers, and project leadership.
  • Support end-user validation, usability testing, production readiness, and post-deployment verification activities.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and continuous enhancement of UAT and QA practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and QA activities.
  • Experience testing large enterprise applications and modernization initiatives.
  • Strong experience validating front-end user interfaces and customer-facing business applications.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational database validation.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience creating and executing UAT test plans, scripts, and defect documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work directly with business users and functional teams in fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DMV or public-sector modernization programs.
  • Experience with enterprise workflow and customer-facing applications.
  • Knowledge of interface testing and enterprise system integrations.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM, or related testing tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Prior experience working in large enterprise or government environments.
