Job Summary:
The Financial Systems Project & UAT Manager is responsible for driving financial systems initiatives that support finance transformation, operational efficiency, financial reporting, planning, and accounting process improvements. This role manages cross-functional projects from intake and discovery through design, configuration, testing, UAT testing cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.
This role partners with Finance, Accounting, IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to translate business needs into actionable business requirements, project plans, manage risks and dependencies and deliver financial system solutions aligned with business objectives and internal control requirements.
Job Duties:
  • Creates and maintains project artifacts including charters, scope statements, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, change requests, cutover plans, testing plans, status reports, and closeout documentation, including required approvals and signoffs
  • Facilitates recurring project governance meetings with Finance, Accounting, IT, vendors, implementation partners, analysts, developers, and leadership to drive decisions, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment with project scope and objectives
  • Coordinates requirements gathering, solution design, configuration readiness, data conversion, integration dependencies, and reporting needs
  • Partners with Financial Systems Business Process Leads, Finance SMEs to develop test scripts, data validation plans, and compliance documentation for UAT and quarterly release readiness
  • Participates in coordinating and managing ERP delivered items to Finance within Azure DevOps for UAT testing, related documentation, and required signoffs along with ensuring that corresponding ServiceNow ticket is accurately up to date
  • Manages project scope, milestones, resource capacity, dependencies, risks, issues, and budget tracking to support timely delivery of initiatives
  • Serves as a liaison between technical, functional, finance, and vendor teams to ensure integrations, security roles, workflow approvals, reporting, and financial controls are appropriately planned, documented, tested, and implemented
  • Prepares clear executive-ready project updates for steering committees, sponsors, and management, including accomplishments, upcoming milestones, key decisions, risks, issues, and mitigation plans
  • Supports change management, communications, training coordination, adoption planning, hyper care, and transition-to-support activities for financial system deployments and enhancements
  • Responds promptly to inquiries and provides accurate, thorough answers using knowledge of financial applications, project management practices, and internal resources
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manages UAT Test Coordinator/Lead responsible for coordinating user acceptance testing activities, tracking test execution and ensuring testing documentation and signoffs are completed timely

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required; or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology, preferred
  • Master's degree, preferred

Experience:
  • Experience directing the work of cross-functional Finance, Accounting, IT, vendor, and implementation partner resources in a project-oriented capacity, required
  • Experience managing project plans, risks, issues, dependencies, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support for financial system initiatives, required
  • Experience as a Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, Financial Systems Analyst, or Accounting/Finance SME supporting Oracle Fusion ERP, OneStream EPM, or comparable financial systems, preferred
  • Experience using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid project management methodologies for ERP/EPM implementation, enhancement, and support efforts, preferred

License/Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification, preferred

Software:
  • Experience with project planning, collaboration, ticketing, and reporting applications used to manage project scope, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and status reporting, preferred
  • Experience managing projects in connection with Oracle Fusion ERP, OneStream EPM, financial consolidation, planning, budgeting, forecasting, close management, reporting, integrations, or data conversion, preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-ready project updates, decision summaries, meeting notes, and project documentation
  • Ability to work independently and in a self-directed capacity while maintaining alignment with sponsors, stakeholders, and project governance expectations
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, recommend practical solutions, and escalate risks or decisions appropriately
  • Ability to facilitate meetings efficiently and effectively, drive accountability, and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams
  • Ability to develop project documentation using process flows, timelines, dependency maps, status dashboards, issue logs, and other visual tools
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong interest in finance, accounting, ERP, EPM, reporting, and financial systems transformation

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $120,000 - $130,000
Maryland Range: $120,000 - $130,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $120,000 - $130,000
