Peer Review & Outcomes Reporting
- Coordinate and support trauma peer review, morbidity and mortality (M&M) meetings, and outcomes reporting
- Identify, validate, and document trauma-related variances, complications, and quality indicators
- Track trends, follow-up actions, and ensure loop closure on identified performance issues
Clinical Review & Quality Surveillance
- Conduct clinical rounds and concurrent chart reviews to assess care quality and identify improvement opportunities in real time
- Monitor adherence to hospital and trauma policies, procedures, and evidence-based clinical practice guidelines
- Contribute to the development and revision of trauma clinical practice guidelines
Data Analysis & Documentation
- Analyze trauma data and generate reports using the trauma registry and other data systems to support decision-making
- Maintain accurate, secure documentation of PI activities, including meeting records, case reviews, and follow-up actions
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for trauma leadership and hospital committees
Education, Research & Professional Engagement
- Participate in trauma-related research, education, and professional organizations to support program development and continuous learning
- Coordinate trauma PI-related meetings, conferences, and special activities
Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure all PI activities align with professional standards, regulatory agency requirements, and institutional policies
- Promote adherence to the Health Sciences Compliance Program, Howard University Code of Ethics, Health Sciences Standards of Conduct, and HIPAA
