Capital Project Manager3500 RainbowPosition Summary / Career Interest:Capital Project Manager manages a diverse project team including internal clinical staff, operations support teams, external consultants, vendors and contractors. The Capital Project Manager will manage several projects simultaneously and assist in the development of project plans including goals, scope, schedule and budget. The Capital Project Manager is also responsible to incorporate input from all appropriate team members and consultants. The Capital Project Manager will be responsible for project budgets and will provide summaries and progress of project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal relationships, technical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates and maintains excellent communications skills, and a pleasant attitude.
  • Maintains and protects confidentially of all Hospital information, including Patient Health Information (PHI), Peer Review(s) and other attorney-client information.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelors Degree Degree in Technical Field, Engineering or Architecture from an accredited College or University.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's Degree
  • 5 or more years experience in building Design and/or Construction.
  • Healthcare-related construction management experience.


Preferred Licensure and Certification

  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect.
  • Project Management Institute Certification (PMI); American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Fellow Certification or Senior Certification; U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Certification


Knowledge Requirements

  • Familiar with construction management software such as Prolog, Expedition, E-Builder or Primavera.
  • Proficient in the use of scheduling software such as Suretrak and Microsoft Project.
