We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Talent Development Manager to lead and advance leadership development, organizational development, and enterprise learning initiatives. This role requires a professional who can both design and deliver impactful development experiences while partnering with business leaders to drive performance, capability building, and talent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement leadership development programs across multiple levels of the organization
  • Develop and curate high-quality learning content (instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning)
  • Partner with business leaders to assess talent needs and align development strategies to business priorities
  • Lead organizational development initiatives, including team effectiveness, change management, and succession planning support
  • Lead engagement efforts by designing and delivering initiatives that strengthen culture, communication, and employee connection
  • Facilitate leadership training sessions and workshops with confidence and executive presence
  • Measure effectiveness of development programs and continuously improve based on data and feedback

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous professional related working experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years in learning & development/training or HR required
  • Minimum of 2 years banking experience desired
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and deliver training sessions in a professional and effective manner required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Prior experience in curriculum development, Canva, LMS, and Articulate a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Strong attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel of at least 35% of the time
  • Strong background in leadership development and talent development
  • Experience designing and delivering training content (both strategic and hands-on)
  • Demonstrated capability in organizational development concepts and application
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to influence leaders

In Washington, DC, the expected base pay salary range for this role is $111,709 - $195,491, placement within the range will be determined on an individualized basis commensurate with experience and skills and is only one part of the total compensation package. Your base salary may be subject to an annual merit increase based upon performance and, depending on the position, may be eligible for cash bonuses, long-term incentives, commissions, and other United Bank sponsored benefit programs.
