Exciting opportunity to become a Vacation Travel Advisor with no experience required!

  • This position will work in office at one of our physical branch locations in Wisconsin - Appleton, De Pere, Oshkosh.ย 
  • Hired as a full-time associate with full-time benefits package.
  • Approximately 8 weeks of training conducted onsite between our corporate office located in Oshkosh and the physical branch location that the associate will be assigned to.
  • Base pay rate starts at $15/hour during training; with the opportunity to advance up to $16/hour with the successful completion of training.
  • In addition to base compensation, this role offers commission potential. High performing associates have started averaging up to $5,000 per quarter after 18 months with our uncapped incentive plan. Actual commission earnings are not guaranteed and depend on individual results and achievement of sales goals.
  • Set day shift schedule with no regularly scheduled nights and occasional support on weekends for events or seasonal needs.
  • No major holidays.
  • Access to complimentary or reduced cost, supplier-offered FAM opportunities, in addition to FAM Adventure Bucks offered to all associates.
  • A dedicated Vacation Travel Support Team.
  • In-house Marketing Team to assist with new lead generation.

Summary

Responsible for successful completion of training program focused on: providing ultimate customer service, proactive selling, ability to handle high volume of clients through various channels (chat, phone, email, in person), basic travel industry knowledge including vendors, technology, types of leisure travel and insurance. The training program builds a foundation on our entry level destinations with the ability to grow into a more experienced Vacation Travel Advisor role. After successful completion of training, this role would be a customer facing position in a physical branch location.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

A day in the life of a Vacation Travel Associate at Fox may include:


Vacation Travel Advisor

  • Responsibility for meeting client needs, building value and strengthening Fox World Travel in a way that balances the needs of clients and expectations of the organization.
  • Responding to client travel requests for reservations including airline, hotel, car, cruise, tour, and others.
  • Actively planning and selling leisure travel services including accommodations and insurance.
  • Supporting Fox World Travel preferred suppliers to ensure quality vacations for clients.
  • Remaining informed of all airline rules and regulations; rail services; vendor loyalty programs; security, DOT and documentation requirements; current affairs.
  • Communicating information to clients accurately, appropriately, and professionally.
  • Maintaining client profiles utilizing our CRM, ensuring special requests and reward program information are included.
  • Strong knowledge of destination geography.
  • Handling a large amount of information with strict attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Maintaining awareness and adherence to Fox World Travel procedures, programs & policy guidelines
  • Effectively multi-tasking while managing time and pressure and maintaining a professional rapport with clients.
  • Ensuring optimum customer service through effective use of computer systems and positive verbal and written communication.
  • Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co-workers in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Driving standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively fostering a culture of engagement.
  • Enhancing the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Being innovative and recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed.
