Sr. Sales Finance Analyst is responsible for tracking, auditing promotional account trade spending and increasing trade spend efficiency and growing profitable sales. The Sr. Sales Financial Analyst will provide analytical support in setting annual budgets, and tracking channel and account spend rates. Position will be responsible for reviewing promotions in trade promotion management software (TPM) and working with Channel Analyst and Category Management Analyst to effectively manage promotional opportunities and programs. The position will work with Sales Managers to review and establish promotional account plans. The position will also be the contact for coordinating all activities associated with team trade shows. Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyzing syndicated, trade management, financial and industry data to measure the performance of trade spending.
  • Track and evaluate annual budget for trade spend by fund code. Work with Sales on any overspend situations.
  • Complete post event analysis on Integrated Brand Promotions. Make recommendations as necessary.
  • Use experience and judgment to evaluate spending requests and approve/deny, or make recommendations for such, based on parameters for account promotions, and events.
  • Utilize syndicated and POS account specific data to monitor promotional activity including competitors.
  • Analyze customer account spending as well as customer profitability.
  • Utilize trade promotion software and evaluate effectiveness of past promotions to guide Sales Managers with recommendations on more efficient spend.
  • Attend targeted strategic initiative meetings to help grow the business. Provide analysis and follow-up when needed.
  • Evaluate trade spending and identify drivers of over/under spending.
  • Analytics - review formulas/templates, create consistent measurements for tracking.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, accounting and finance on profitability assignments.
  • Collaborate on customer, segment, and brand analysis to influence and formulate actionable business decisions.
  • Coordinate all necessary activities for trade shows, including, but not limited to, managing the Trade Show budget; arrangements for booth space and on-site needs (i.e.: display samples, selling materials, booth furniture, etc.); main point of contact for all trade show related personnel; exhibit updates and equipment in coordination with the Brand team; itinerary coordination for major shows. Other duties as required by nature of individual shows.

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Sales and finance background preferred.
  • 5 years work related experience, in marketing, sales and finance, CPG role, business or financial role preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, ability to quickly learn new systems.
