Job description

Summary

The Interest Rate Derivatives and FX Trade Support MO team mitigates operational risk through its functions. It supports and controls the business initiated by the New York IRD and FX Front Office. The team ensures accurate trade capture of Vanilla and Exotic derivatives, FX spot, FX option FX forward in the FO systems, facilitates front to back trade processing, assist and control Trading in the management of their position and exposure, and safeguard systems by monitoring daily activity.

Key ResponsibilitiesManagement Primary Role
  • Team management
  • Maintain a strong relationship and coordination between Front Office, Back Office, IT and head office management
  • Headcount management
  • Human resource process tracking (appraisals, training, compensation, etc…)
  • Develop an effective reporting with the local Head of CMM
  • Set-up of the necessary and essential controls to ensure reliability, completeness, consistency and accuracy of the FO database
  • Organize tasks and the set‑up of back‑ups to ensure business continuity
  • Activity follow‑up and implementation / monitoring of indicators for the different MO teams
  • Participate as a key element to the new products or new activities implementations
  • Participate and/or take over (sponsorship) MO projects
  • Propose actions or processes reviews to improve efficiency and security of trades processing, deals lifecycle management and reconciliation
  • Maintain procedures
Operational Secondary Role
  • Ensure the transactional integrity and accuracy of positions across systems used by the IRD business line
  • Investigate trade discrepancies for prompt and accurate resolution to stakeholders
  • Facilitate trade modifications in FO systems as requested and relevant
  • Manage and control trades’ life cycle events
  • Verify modifications of discrepant trades’ impact on Risk and PnL, impacts are immediately made transparent to FO
  • Transmit FO trade documents to Paris BO/MO organizational groups for final trade verification and documentation
  • Maintain referential data in FO systems
  • Assist in the identification, specification, and testing of system enhancements
  • Provide innovative ideas to systematically update controls and procedures to reduce operational risk
  • Document functions into procedures and ensure information is updated
  • Escalate issues and anomalies detected
  • Develop strong relationships with local and global teams
  • Participate in business projects
Management and Reporting
  • Provide regular reports to management: KPI’s, KRI’s, activity/production overview
  • Propose improvements to streamline processes
  • Regular team reviews, escalation
  • Reports to the Head of CMM NY

Salary Range: $120K - $145K
