General Function
In this hands-on Tooling supervisor role, you'll support a skilled team, oversee preventive maintenance activities, and drive quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will bring Tool & Die experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for manufacturing excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain education matrix(s) and associated records demonstrating compliance to the IATF Management system

  • Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principals using 5"S" and Kaizen

  • Support the Company's Goals and Objectives through continuous improvement action plan participation and completion

  • Supervise and schedule the daily preventative maintenance activities in the Tool Room

  • Maintain employee compliance of 5"S" requirements at assigned areas in Tool Room

  • Provide Job Instruction for the following:

  • Maintain required safety levels on plant floor

  • Ensure that production requirements are satisfied

  • Ensure that Company policies and procedures are followed and adhered to

  • Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis

  • Quality requirements: Authorized to make decisions concerning quality issues in tandem with the assigned Program Manager

  • Supervises the daily activities of the Toolmakers and Metal Forming Specialists Employees

  • Works closely with the General Production Supervisor to optimize stamping operations

  • May give direction to members of the Press Team

  • Serves in the capacity of waste water handler commensurate with completion of proper environmental training

  • Other duties as assigned by the Tooling Manager

Work Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Blueprint GD&T interpretation of dies, details, and part prints

  • Must be able to interpret C.M.M. or Gaging information and direct personnel to perform adjustments to maintain Customer part Quality

  • Usage of a computer and other productivity machinery such as control panels

  • Must possess working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software

  • Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria to maintain manufacturing environmental standards to protect and preserve our customers product and the environment

Education
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Some college and/or technical trade manufacturing education is preferred

Experience
  • Journeyman status or eight years' experience in Tool and Die build, Prototype, or Die Repair Technician
