Job description

CNC Programmer / 5-Axis Machinist
Work on complex, precision-machined components using advanced 5-axis CNC technology while building tooling solutions used by leading automotive manufacturers. As a CNC Programmer / 5-Axis Machinist, you will program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machining centers to produce complex components with tight tolerances. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to improve processes, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure every part meets exact specifications.
What You Will Do
  • Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers
  • Develop and modify CNC programs for complex and custom-machined components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Perform machine setup including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and calibration
  • Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain production efficiency
  • Manufacture a variety of precision parts requiring unique setups and programs
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining processes
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure parts meet strict dimensional requirements
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience with strong 5-axis machining capabilities
  • Proven experience independently programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines
  • Experience with CAM programming software; TEBIS experience highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and work holding
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications
  • Experience producing precision components in aerospace, tooling, die cast, or similar industries
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must be an experienced machinist/programmer capable of developing programs and running complex jobs independently
