Position: CNC Machinist

Location: Loganville, GA

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 4pm - 4:30am

Pay: $26.00 – $32.00/hr

 

Job Summary

We are hiring a CNC Machinist for a client seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, hands-on machining experience, and the ability to work independently to produce finished parts that meet production specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual CNC machines, including drill presses, lathes, and mills

  • Create, edit, and modify G&M code and Mazatrol programs to support progressive machining

  • Troubleshoot machine alarms and ensure accurate part production

  • Perform machine adjustments and routine maintenance in compliance with safety standards

  • Read and interpret blueprints to verify part accuracy

  • Manage and organize raw materials to minimize waste

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Must Haves

  • Proficient in reading a tape measure to 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32"increments with inch-to-decimal conversions

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Experience using precision measuring tools, including digital/vernier calipers and micrometers

  • Knowledge of dimensions and sizing of common structural steel

  • Technical degree in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent machining experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Mazatrol programming

  • Background in a high-volume or production machining environment

  • Familiarity with G&M code editing and troubleshooting

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
