Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist role based in Stow, OH. The CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist will set up, program (as applicable), and operate CNC horizontal milling machines to produce hydraulic manifolds to print specifications and production schedules. Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions, selecting tooling and fixtures, loading materials, running production parts, and monitoring machines throughout each cycle. The role includes performing in-process inspections, verifying dimensions and tolerances with precision measuring tools, and making necessary offsets or adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. The machinist will also perform basic machine maintenance, maintain a clean and safe work area, collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues, and document work in accordance with shop and quality procedures.
Qualifications

  • Proficient in Machine Operation and Machinery, including setup and safe operation of CNC horizontal mills.
  • Solid Machining and Milling skills, with the ability to read blueprints, follow work instructions, and hold tight tolerances.
  • Experience with Quality Control practices, including use of calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Previous experience as a CNC machinist in a production or job shop environment, preferably in hydraulics or precision manufacturing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues, adjust offsets, and optimize feeds and speeds as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and adherence to safety procedures and shop policies.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in machining or related field is a plus.
