We are seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed NY Title Insurance Agent to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of New York title insurance practices and be capable of managing files from contract through policy issuance. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Review title reports and clearance title issues.
- Generate and issue final owner and lender title insurance policies with proper exceptions and endorsements.
- Prepare files for closing and coordinate with attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, and clients.
- Review surveys, municipal searches, judgments, liens, and other title-related documents.
- Prepare and process ACRIS transfer tax forms and related recording documents.
- Draft deeds, transfer documents, affidavits, and other title-related documentation.
- Review closing packages for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate recording of deeds, mortgages, satisfactions, and other instruments.
- Maintain accurate file documentation and follow company procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and timely communication to clients and business partners.
Qualifications
- Active New York Title Insurance Agent License required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in New York title insurance, title production, clearance, or policy issuance.
- Strong understanding of ACRIS, transfer tax documents, deed preparation, and recording procedures.
- Experience reviewing title reports, surveys, judgments, liens, and municipal searches.
- Familiarity with title software platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- New Jersey title experience is a plus.
- Experience with commercial transactions is a plus.
- Notary Public license is a plus.
