Job description

RIMARY FUNCTION:  To perform maintenance duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
PAY GRADE:  $10.00 per hour
FLSA STATUS:  Non-Exempt
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Temporary/Summer Work
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:  High School Graduate or GED preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:  None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Lift 70 pounds individually and move objects up to 140 pounds with assistance.  Be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, feel, talk, hear, crawl and have depth perception.  Be able to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to weather including cold, hot, wet and high humidity.  Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
PROFICIENT SKILLS:













  • Follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to do framing work and hang sheetrock.
  • Ability to make minor repairs in floor covering, suspended ceilings, gutters, concrete, door hardware and/or masonry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  2. Assist in the completion of work orders in the areas of plumbing, general maintenance, athletics, HVAC, painting, roofing and electrical.
  3. Report immediately safety hazards which affect the welfare of students and system employees.
  4. Maintain a safe work site.
  5. Safely load, unload and secure all equipment, tools and other items to be transported either by vehicle or trailer.
  6. Other duties as assigned by appropriate maintenance personnel.
