ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer for a travel job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Registered Sleep Technologist - Day Shift

Job Description

The Registered Sleep Technologist works under the direct supervision of the lead sleep technologist and is responsible for performing essential sleep lab functions, including in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare for sleep studies, including review of patient charts, testing orders, and proper patient identification.
  • Set up for sleep studies by applying electrodes and sensors following AASM recommendations and explaining testing procedures to patients.
  • Perform in-center and out-of-center sleep study acquisitions, focusing on quality and exceptional patient care.
  • Analyze and score sleep studies accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient rooms, perform routine maintenance, and manage inventory and restocking of lab supplies.
  • Demonstrate continued scoring competency through monthly AASM ISR requirements.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Graduate from a polysomnography program accredited by CAAHEP or CoARC, or a STAR designated program through BRPT.
  • Sleep credential from BRPT, NBRC, or ABSM.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Compliance with PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73.
Schedule

This position is for a Day Shift, working 12-hour shifts over a 3-day workweek.
