As a
Sleep Center Technician, you'll work closely with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals to conduct advanced sleep studies, educate patients on sleep health, and support the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of sleep-related conditions. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to utilize your specialized skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.
Shift: PRN
What You'll Do:
- Prepare patients and equipment for a variety of sleep diagnostic procedures.
- Perform sleep studies and monitor patients throughout testing.
- Collect, analyze, and document sleep-related data accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients and families on sleep study procedures and sleep health.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout the testing process.
- Perform post-procedure responsibilities and assist with follow-up processes.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
Education & Credentials-
Candidates must possess one of the following credentials:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Required Certifications:
Must hold one of the following professional certifications:
- American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)
- Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
- Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT)
- Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Additionally, candidates must possess:
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in polysomnography preferred.
