Job Summary
CADY is seeking a hands-on Temporary Senior Accountant to support the Finance team during a period of operational growth, process improvement, and audit readiness. This role will assist with month-end close, audit support, sales tax and compliance work, and cross-functional accounting projects.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. This position will also support process documentation, cross-training efforts, and coordination of information across departments to improve accounting visibility and audit support readiness.
Responsibilities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with external audit requests and pull supporting documentation across departments.
  • Coordinate collection and organization of accounting and operational support files for audit, tax, and compliance purposes.
  • Assist with sales tax, business license, and other compliance-related filings.
  • Support account analysis, variance analysis, and financial reporting requests.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, HR, IT, Revenue Operations, and other departments to gather financial data and supporting documentation.
  • Help identify where key information resides within the organization and assist in centralizing documentation and processes.
  • Support implementation and process improvement initiatives related to Sage Intacct and financial reporting workflows.
  • Assist with documenting accounting procedures and improving internal controls.
  • Provide cross-training and support to accounting staff and assist in training potential future staff accountants.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, & Education)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Public accounting and/or audit experience strongly preferred.
  • Sage Intacct experience required.
  • Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, and compliance projects.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with sales tax and general tax support work preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or multi-entity environments preferred.
