Project Controls – Project Lead
Location: On site at project location in Yuma, AZ
Schedule: 12-month project specific assignment (July/August 2026 start) with potential for permanent role
Compensation: 60-70 /hr (Range represents all possible skill levels, compensation will reflect experience.)


Position Summary
Greenberry Industrial is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead – Cost Controls to support a major project assignment. This role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and reporting on project cost performance, ensuring alignment with approved budgets, and providing critical cost insights to project leadership.
This position is expected to start as a temporary project-based assignment with strong potential for ongoing work based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain the project budget in alignment with contract scope and approved estimates
  • Track and analyze labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and indirect costs against budget
  • Develop and maintain earned value (EV) metrics and monitor productivity performance
  • Prepare and update cost forecasts, including:
    • Cost-to-Complete (CTC)
    • Estimate-at-Completion (EAC)
  • Support project leadership through Work-in-Progress (WIP) reviews, billing status updates, and cost trend analysis
  • Support project leadership with RFI’s
  • Support QA/QC with data tracking, non-conformance reporting, and other items related to construction execution.
  • Assist with change order development, including pricing, tracking, and financial reconciliation
  • Maintain a comprehensive Change Order log and ensure accurate tracking and documentation
  • Identify and communicate:
    • Cost overruns
    • Underbilling risks
    • Unapproved scope
    • Budget and financial risks
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, operations, accounting, and field teams to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting

Qualifications
Required:
  • Proven experience in project cost controls within industrial construction, fabrication, or EPC environments
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, and earned value principles
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights to project leadership
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets
Preferred:
  • Experience with Vista by Trimble Viewpoint or similar ERP technology
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling and its integration with cost controls

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • This role may be based in an office or project site environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional travel to other project sites may be required
