Responsibilities
Are you innovative, engaged, professional, customer-focused and profit-driven? Are you ready to join an organization wherein you can utilize your knowledge and skills to manage the financial aspects of the region's 300+ customer projects?
Ocatve is seeking a Project Accountanting Analyst to monitor the financial health of customer software implementation projects, from project setup through project close, working with project managers and providing meaningful analysis to business unit leaders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Set up and maintain time & materials, fixed price and fixed price recurring revenue projects in Dynamics GP system once contracts are awarded.
Requires partnership with Services Project Managers as well as interaction with proposals, legal and other organizations.
• Ensure projects adhere to contract language, track project amendment documentation, record revenue and produce project billings.
• Perform technical support including budget review, cost analysis, pricing and margin analysis, and change in scope impact analysis.
• Communicate any issues, problems or additional information to project managers, project stakeholders, and executive management and recommend solutions.
• Administer projects from initial acceptance to final close out
• Strong communication and analytical skills are desired
Education / Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3-5 years of Project/Revenue Accounting experience preferred
- Understanding of GAAP principles preferred
- Ability to work autonomously on assigned projects with management support when needed
• Ownership of assigned tasks and areas of responsibility; proven follow-through; execution to completion with minimal direction
• Strong attention to detail; highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to self-check results and reasonableness before publication to ensure accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and handle several priorities simultaneously
• Desire to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in software related industry a plus
• Experience with Dynamics GP a plus
