Come join a team of dedicated and compassionate RN's in a 25-bed, newly built, state-of-the-art Psychiatric facility in Berlin, Vermont. Our mission at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital (VPCH) is to improve the health and well-being of Vermont's most vulnerable populations. We have immediate openings for experienced Registered Nurses! Nurses function as fully integrated members of a multidisciplinary team while providing excellent psychiatric nursing care. Who May Apply
This position, Registered Nurse II - Temporary (Job Requisition #53739), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors
Duties primarily performed in a clinical setting. Work may require travel off-site. Exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, potentially physically and verbally violent patient population and other stressful situations may occur. Minimum Qualifications
Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience in the nursing specialty.
NOTE: Must maintain Vermont licensure as a Registered Nurse OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Special Requirements
Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
