Temporary Event StaffTemporary Position - 5-Day Event AssignmentPosition SummaryWe are seeking reliable and motivated temporary staff to assist during a multi-day community fireworks and entertainment event. Temporary Event Staff will support event operations including parking control, guest assistance, traffic direction, shuttle support, crowd monitoring, setup/cleanup assistance, and general event support duties. Employees must maintain a professional attitude, provide excellent customer service, and help ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
This is a temporary position scheduled for approximately five (5) days during the event period, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties may include, but are not limited to:
- Direct vehicles and assist with parking operations
- Provide guests with directions and event information
- Assist with crowd flow and line management
- Monitor assigned event areas for safety concerns
- Assist with golf cart shuttle loading/unloading operations
- Support food vendor and activity areas as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness of event grounds and common areas
- Assist with event setup and breakdown activities
- Report safety concerns, incidents, or emergencies to supervisors
- Work cooperatively with event supervisors, security staff, vendors, and fellow team members
- Perform other event-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work the full temporary event schedule
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holiday, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and coworkers
- Reliable, dependable, and able to follow directions
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications - Previous event, customer service, parking, security, or traffic control experience preferred, but not required
- Experience working in fast-paced environments preferred
Physical Requirements - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout assigned shifts
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
Employment Requirements - Successful completion of pre-employment urinalysis (UA/drug screening) is required
- Must comply with all event safety policies and procedures
Work EnvironmentWork is performed primarily outdoors in a busy event environment with large crowds, vehicle traffic, loud noise levels, and varying weather conditions.
