Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Coos Bay, Oregon. This position is ideal for an experienced PCU, IMCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry RN who is comfortable providing care to acute-care hospital patients in a fast-paced intermediate care environment.
The RN will provide direct patient care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and float to related specialty units as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in a progressive care/stepdown environment.
  • Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring clinical intervention.
  • Administer medications and treatments within the RN scope of practice.
  • Provide patient and family education, including discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Float to MCU, PSU, and APU as needed based on staffing and patient census.
  • Follow Oregon nursing standards, facility policies, and patient safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years (24 months) of recent PCU/Progressive Care experience.
  • Strong IMCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry experience may be considered.
  • Previous acute-care hospital experience required.
  • Active Oregon RN License or willingness to obtain prior to start.
  • Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain prior to start.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
  • Ability to float to related units as required.
