Administrator in Training (AIT)
Pay: Starting at $65,000/YR
Schedule: Full-time
Location: Rose Haven Nursing Center (Roseburg, OR)
Volare Health LLC is seeking a dedicated professional who is working towards obtaining their Administrative License to learn and grow with our facility under the supervision of our current Administrator. Candidates who are current residents of Oregon will be considered for this position.

As the Administrator in Training (AIT), you will learn via hands-on experiences that fully submerge you in the day-to-day responsibilities of a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. This program is a 6-to-12-month long training course and involves working with a preceptor at an assigned facility, working in each department, attending additional classroom modules on leadership, and preparing you for the State and Federal Nursing Home Administrator exams.
  • The AIT program consists of 960 hours under the supervision of a preceptor.
  • An AIT program applicant must apply for and be granted registration prior to beginning the AIT program.
  • An AIT must complete the AIT program in no less than six months and no more than two years after beginning the program. An AIT failing to complete the program within two years after beginning the program must reapply and, if accepted, begin the program again.

The perfect fit candidate will have the following:
  • Must currently reside in Oregon and be available to travel locally as needed.
  • Must be available to work 1-2 days per weekend, as part of the regular schedule.
  • Must have a Bachelor degree in Business or Healthcare Administration.
  • The ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Someone that possesses basic computer skills, including email use.
  • Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and government regulators, and to work cooperatively with other associates at all levels.
  • Capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Enrollment in an AIT program is required.
  • Meet all local health regulations and pass the pre-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
  • Previous experience as a department head in a skilled nursing setting preferred.
  • Passionate about seniors and helping them live the best rest of their lives!
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Safety

  • Comply with all Company safety policies, regulations and requirements involving employee safety and patient safety. This includes but is not limited to a zero tolerance for harassment and violence; following infection control procedures; following safe patient handling as required with your specific job position.
  • May be required to assist in the evacuation of patients during emergency situations.
  • Meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
