Occupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based

Coos Bay Area, Oregon
Local and Travel Opportunities Available

Compensation

  • Local Pay Rate: Up to $72.00/hour ($2,952/week based on 41 hours)
  • Travel Pay Package: Up to $3,050/week

Position Overview

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing and implementing therapy services, and maintaining documentation in accordance with each student's individualized plan of care. This position works collaboratively with educational teams to support student participation, independence, and success within the school environment.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: August 24, 2026
  • Contract Length: 40 Weeks
  • Hours: 41 Hours per Week
  • Setting: School-Based
  • Interview Process: Virtual interview with the HR Director and Program Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on student needs.
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services within the school setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in the development and completion of IEPs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
  • Delegate and collaborate with COTAs when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Support students in accessing educational programs and classroom participation.

Additional Assignment Information

  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary therapy team to support student success.
  • Potential supervision and delegation responsibilities with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • This may be an itinerant position supporting schools within and surrounding the Coos Bay area.
  • Some travel between school sites should be expected.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain.
  • One (1) year of professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
  • School-based and/or pediatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff.
  • Ability to receive and implement feedback.
  • Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice.
  • Current CPR certification, if required.
  • Current TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if required.
  • Current health certificate, if required by contract or state regulations.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
