Overview
Registered Nurse - L&D travel assignment in a hospital setting for Coos Bay, Oregon. Start date: 08/25/2026. 13-week assignment with 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to OB patients across LDRP units, including triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care.
- Monitor fetal wellbeing using OBIX fetal surveillance and document findings in the EPIC electronic health record.
- Apply the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care; administer medications and monitor responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teammates, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met; respond to obstetric emergencies and escalate as needed.
- Maintain compliance with Oregon State Board of Nursing guidelines and hospital policies; support continuity of care and appropriate documentation.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Oregon
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring
- BLS (American Heart Association) required; NRP required
- OBIX and EPIC experience highly preferred; EFM and STABLE certifications highly preferred
- Submission materials: resume, skills checklist, and certifications; some certifications may not be active at submission but must be willing to obtain as needed
- Ability to work in a Labor and Delivery/LDRP setting and to cover night shifts as required
