Job description

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
This position is located in Sacramento at DMV Headquarters. DMV's Information Systems Division (ISD) is seeking an innovative individual to serve as a Manager for our Financial Systems Support (FSS) Group. The Information Technology (IT) Manager I will direct application support and development activities for DMV's Oracle and Settlement related applications. The incumbent supports projects that interface with DMV's core business applications. The incumbent is responsible for workforce and succession planning, IT budgeting and procurement, and strategic planning. Through subordinate staff, the incumbent in FSS Group is responsible for gathering requirements to design systems, developing technical specifications, coding, configuring, testing and implementing new applications and/or services, and maintaining/enhancing existing systems. The incumbent serves as Technical Manager and Contract Manager for various IT projects.

Working Conditions
Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
This position works in a remote setting or in an office setting, in a cubicle, which may include sitting for long periods of time, accessing a computer, and typing for long periods of time. DMV operates 24/7, so this position may be required to carry a cell phone, work occasional evenings and/or weekends, or attend out of town classes or conferences.
