About the Team/Role
WEX Telematics is growing and seeking a results-driven Senior Telematics Inside Sales Representative to join our team and play a key role in driving revenue growth. This is a critical role where you will act as a "Trusted Adviser" for prospects and customers. You will be tasked with growing our small and mid-sized business by managing a pipeline of opportunities. We apply a solution selling approach that starts with understanding the customer's core needs, then recommending one of our industry-leading telematics solutions to help them improve efficiency, increase safety, ensure compliance, and track sustainability initiatives. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistent track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals, a deep understanding of customer needs, and the ability to mentor others are essential for success in this role.
The anticipated schedule for this role will be 8am - 5pm Eastern Time Zone. This role is flexible for remote work.
How you'll make an impact
  • Sales & Customer Engagement:
    • Work with potential customers to understand their challenges and goals related to fleet operations and position WEX Premium Telematics Services to provide an excellent customer experience.
    • Use proven sales skills to negotiate and close contracts with new and existing customers to deliver on sales quota and targets.
    • Strong understanding of deal cycles, prioritizing high-value opportunities, and aligning with business objectives.
    • Manages a combination of new business and upsells opportunities.
    • Provide feedback on customer needs to improve solutions.
  • Knowledge & Expertise:
    • Deep product and market knowledge pertaining to telematics, including but not limited to: best practices, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
    • Link telematics and associated products' features and benefits to the potential clients' needs; clearly understand customer pain points and industry trends.
    • Quickly learn new products, product upgrades, and processes to effectively position customers.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration & Internal Processes:
    • Utilize Salesforce daily to maintain accurate records of all sales activities - strong pipeline management with the ability to accurately forecast MRR is a must.
    • Work closely with the WEX Telematics Customer Success Team to ensure post-sale activities are successful.
    • Collaborate with other WEX sales teams to execute against referral opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our vendor partners, collaborating with them as needed to successfully close customer deals.
    • Actively mentor junior colleagues and proactively share best practices across the team.

Experience you'll bring
  • Education and Experience:
    • 5+ years sales experience, minimum 1 year selling telematics or similar vehicle management solution.
    • Previous experience with telematics, fleet management, fuel cards, or cloud-based applications.
    • Associate's degree or bachelor's degree is a preferred qualification.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • History of consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets.
    • Experience mentoring junior sales associates.
    • Must be proficient with Salesforce; knowledge of Google G Suite is also helpful.

The pay for this role is performance-driven and designed to reward top performers. This position is eligible for a lucrative, uncapped commission plan.
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
