Job description

Title - Sales Engineer

Location - St Louis, MO (Hybrid)

We’re seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for designing impactful solutions that drive customer success. This role is a key part of our sales organization, supporting revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

  • Engage with prospects to assess network needs and design tailored solutions.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demos (e.g., SD-WAN, Firewall, Hosted Voice, Cloud).
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop strategies that leverage Segra’s fiber infrastructure.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with Segra’s network capabilities and implementation standards.
  • Train and educate the sales team on Segra’s products, services, and industry trends.

Post-Sales & Technical Support

  • Gather technical documentation and collaborate with customer and internal teams post-sale.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to share field insights.
  • Create network diagrams and detailed scopes of work for customer and internal use.
  • Provide ongoing technical consultation to foster long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and listening skills.
  • Solid understanding of network transport delivery and design.
  • Experience with WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud Services, Firewall, UCaaS, SIP Trunking, PRI, and Wi-Fi.
  • Industry certifications in Route/Switch, Cybersecurity, or Data Center/Cloud technologies.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 + commission
