Job Description
Job Summary:
The Business Development Specialist will sell the company's products and services to current and new clientele. This role must possess excellent communication and writing skills, be adept in business and development, and possess interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Using outbound calls and networking, hunt and acquire new customer base and growth of existing services-based clients, including data center & fiber.
  • Leverage relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to secure new business.
  • Develop and implement strategies for new sales opportunities.
  • Identify, qualify, and close service opportunities across wireless carriers, network and construction integrators, traditional telecom companies, traditional cable companies, tower owners, and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) providers.
  • Assist with research and development of new products.
  • Provide information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
  • Draft presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers.
  • Attend and participate in wireless industry conferences and events.
  • Occasional travel to clients.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Meets company-determined monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Provides periodic sales forecasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR
  • At least five years of B2B sales experience is required (B2B telecom preferred).
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel.
