Position summary
This position is scheduled to end on January 31, 2027, with the possibility of an extension.
Sikich is seeking an experienced is seeking an experienced and engaging Senior Trainer to support a large-scale IT implementation project. This role focuses primarily on delivering onsite training, with opportunities to support hybrid and virtual learning as needed.The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with end users and helping them successfully adopt new technology and business processes in a collaborative and supportive environment.Experience with Salesforce, public sector or child welfare organizations, and California's Child Welfare Services - California Automated Response and Engagement System (CWS-CARES) is highly desired.
What will you do in this role?
  • Deliver instructor-led training sessions in onsite, virtual, and hybrid environments.
  • Support users during training, system rollout, and post-Go-Live activities by answering questions and providing hands-on assistance.
  • Develop and update training materials, including participant guides, presentations, job aids, quick reference guides, and other learning resources.
  • Facilitate Train-the-Trainer, leadership, supervisor, and end-user training sessions.
  • Collaborate with project teams, Organizational Change Management (OCM), and stakeholders to understand training needs and tailor learning materials for different audiences.
  • Gather participant feedback and training metrics to help improve training effectiveness.
  • Maintain training documentation, FAQs, and user support materials.
  • Travel to client locations throughout California as needed to support onsite training and implementation activities.

What do you need to succeed in this role?
  • At least 2 years of experience within the past 5 years delivering training for IT implementation projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing training materials for IT implementations.
  • Experience using Salesforce and the ability to train end users on system functionality.
  • Must reside in California and be available to travel to client locations as required..

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with child welfare programs, agencies, or professionals is highly desired.
  • Experience with California's CWS-CARES project or the California child welfare services environment is highly desired.
  • Experience supporting public sector, health and human services, county social services, or child welfare organizations.
  • Knowledge of child welfare business processes, terminology, and case management workflows is a plus.
  • Experience training end users on Salesforce-based applications.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering onsite, virtual, and hybrid training.
  • Experience providing post-Go-Live, floor support, or over-the-shoulder support during large-scale system implementations.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the base compensation range for this role is 60-70-80/hr . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on several factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for roles in our Government Services pillar are determined by contract with the specific government agency Sikich is servicing.
