Job description

Under general supervision of the technical supervisor, a Polysomnographic Technician 3 performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions. Scores PSG's according to AASM's guidelines and departmental policies. Is proficient in the scoring/reporting functions: Scores all records, generates reports, interacts with physicians in record review, assist with quality assurance and performance improvement measures. A Polysomnographic Technician 3 assists the lab supervisor in all areas, acts as a resource technologist, when necessary, and takes call when needed based on departmental need. A Polysomnographic Technician ensures the flow of patients and polysomnographic studies in the department on patients of all ages. The technician 3 is responsible for maintaining high quality of standards in accordance with TJC, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Association of Sleep Technologists and Baptist Health Systems.Estimated pay range for this position is $28.55 - $37.12 / hour depending on experience.Degrees:
  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support.
  • BRPT Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Graduate of qualified BRPT approved polysomnographic program.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) minimum of 2 years of PSG Scoring experience.
Minimum Required Experience: 3 Years
