Description

  • Architect and implement integrations between Guidewire and external systems leveraging the Guidewire Integration Framework and APIs.
  • Design and configure Guidewire modules tailored to client business requirements.
  • Collaborate in hands-on sessions, code reviews, demos, and cross-team knowledge sharing to design, develop, and configure innovative solutions.
  • Lead the development of system, technical, and product standards aligned with business goals and long-term strategies within an Agile delivery framework.
  • Analyze complex technical challenges and propose comprehensive solutions with detailed architecture diagrams and design documentation.
  • Partner with architects, stakeholders, and engineering teams to continuously evolve the platform design.
  • Apply expertise in observability, infrastructure as code, Agile methodologies, and software testing best practices.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership and independence in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process and technology improvements to drive continuous enhancement.

Skills

  • Possesses cloud-native integration and deployment experience with the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), including working in multi-planet star systems (dev, preprod, prod). Proficient in Integration Gateway (IG) concepts such as camel routes, error handling, and secure external calls, and is comfortable using cloud deployment tools like TeamCity, Docker, AWS S3, and Secrets Management.
  • Experience with integration patterns involving web services (SOAP/REST), messaging systems, and batch processing
  • Extensive experience designing, architecting, and integrating complex Guidewire InsuranceSuite solutions encompassing configuration, integrations, and Gosu development.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms and container orchestration technologies, including AWS, Cloud Foundry, or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures and API-first microservices design.
  • Understanding of business operations and strategies, with insights into global technology trends and the insurance industry.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and related technologies.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
  • Ability to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.

    • Proven track record of success in platform modernization initiatives using Guidewire, RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and Java/Node.js/Spring Boot technologies.
    • Collaborative and adaptable work style, with demonstrated initiative and strong time management skills.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of technology concepts, business operations, system architecture, design and development tools, and technical standards.
    • Collaborates effectively with DevOps and development teams to define branching strategies, release cycles, and promotion rules across environments, while guiding teams on self-service deployment best practices using the Integration Gateway UI.
    • Possesses deep expertise in IAM roles, cross-account permissions, and KMS encryption for external integrations, ensuring integration designs comply with PII, PCI, and audit logging standards.
    • Experienced in API and event-driven architecture, with strong knowledge of Cloud APIs, App Events, and Webhooks to enable extensibility and integrations, skilled in configuring Cloud API roles and ensuring transactional consistency, and well-versed in best practices for payload minimization, safe ordering, and schema evolution.
    • Experienced in data integration and observability with knowledge of Cloud Data Access and Snapshot Export to S3, proficiency in observability tools such as Zipkin, Prometheus, and Cloud Monitoring dashboards, and a strong understanding of logging and audit trail standards for GWCP integrations.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Guidewire Certified Associate or Ace Developer certification for relevant cloud products (PolicyCenter, IG)
