What youโ€™ll do from day one

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for increasing revenue in their assigned geographic territory by developing new business relationships and managing all aspects of the relationship with Functional Devices resellers. This includes product training, negotiations, strategic planning, promotions, and identifying opportunities to grow sales within the territory.

NORTHEAST TERRITORY - CT,DC,DE,MA,MD,ME,NH,NJ,NY,PA,RI,VA,VT,WV, amp; EASTERN CANADA

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, strong communication and presentation skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships. This individual will be challenged to find, attract, onboard, and support new resellers throughout their assigned territory.

The impact youโ€™ll make
  • Identify and qualify potential new resellers.
  • Establish contractual relationships where applicable.
  • Provide and/or facilitate orientation, onboarding, and initial product training for new resellers.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers.
  • Analyze accounts and develop appropriate strategies for increasing sales and achieving sales goals.
  • Gather and document relevant customer and account information, including contact information, billing and shipping details, affiliations, pricing levels, sales quotas, and other required information in the FDI ERP system.
  • Maintain and track sales history in CRM.
  • Work closely with Product and Marketing Managers to develop successful go-to-market strategies.
  • Make joint sales calls with reseller sales representatives as frequently as possible, commensurate with revenue level.
  • Provide ongoing and updated training to resellers.
  • Maintain regular documented contact with resellers based on revenue level, activity, and industry trends.
  • Participate in industry conferences and tradeshows where applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required, or applicable industry experience of greater than 5 years.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven B2B sales experience, ideally in electrical distribution, lighting distribution, or building automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with technical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clear driving record required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future needs for sponsorship.
Itโ€™s a plus if you have
  • Prior knowledge of controls, HVAC, electrical, lighting, and/or building automation systems.
  • Experience working with resellers, distributors, or channel sales partners.
  • Experience developing territory sales strategies.
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems to document customer activity and sales history.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and influence customers in a technical sales environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused role.
