Job description

Job Duties
  • Under general supervision, participates in analysis, modification and design for multiple products and/or projects of greater complexity which requires proficiency in the application of standard materials and components.
  • Develop CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks to support tooling and fixture needs for the Production shop and other departments
  • Design and implement automated electro-mechanical setups to enhance efficiency in Production and other departments.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of BOMs, setup requirements, tooling, procedures, and routers for first-time build parts.
  • Lead HSE & continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction across all manufacturing departments
  • Participate in design review meetings with the Engineering/Design team
  • Develops test procedures, conducts tests and completes test result analysis for assigned projects.
  • Advises and assists in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services.
  • Designs and builds fixtures and tooling to support assembly and testing processes
  • Conduct and participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations
  • Review revision changes and coordinates implementation with relevant Manufacturing departments
  • Performs analysis on Work Order variances utilizing SAP transactions
  • Reviews and disposition quality notifications, and provide troubleshooting guidance to Production teams.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience. 
  • Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
