Job Summary

We are seeking a Communications Manager to join our dynamic team. You’ll help shape the internal communications strategy and deliver timely, authentic and clear messages that inform and inspire. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE; WFH 2-3 days per week.

In Your Role, You’ll…

· Get to know the teams. Spend meaningful time getting to know our corporate departments to identify communication needs and ways they might contribute to our internal strategy.

· Become an industry and Bon Appétit expert. Learn everything you can about food service, the competitive landscape, market trends, and Bon Appétit’s positioning and differentiators.

Internal Communications

· Planning & Measurement: Work with Director to co-develop and execute quarterly plans, as well as define operating cadence and channel strategy. Manage internal communications editorial calendar, as well as internal distribution and client lists. Measure communication effectiveness using analytics and pulse surveys.

· Content Development: Develop strong, authentic communications. Collaborate with Director and VP of Communications on emails, presentation decks, newsletters, webcasts, digital signage, and a variety of intranet content. Partner on C-suite and rapid response communications, as needed.

· Engagement: Guide launch of employee engagement plan in collaboration with Employee Experience and Human Resources teams.

· Coordination: Support execution of companywide webcasts and town halls. Schedule and provide technical support for webcasts, including preparing invitations, overseeing rehearsals, tracking attendance, and posting and sharing links to recordings. Collaborate with Director, VP, and other stakeholders on content development.

· Newsletters: Own weekly internal newsletter, focusing on creating engaging, easily consumable content. Manage the development and distribution of other internal newsletters.

Liaison

· Serve as primary point person for all parent company-related communications requests and projects, including:

o Development of press materials for initiatives and reports

o Assistance with annual events and awards processes

Intranet & Photography Management

· Oversee Communications content on company intranet.

· Collaborate with other departments on content updates and make UX recommendations.

· Working with the Digital Asset Manager, manage photography needs for the Communications department and ensure that photography is regularly funneled to appropriate channels.

Qualifications

· 5–7 years of internal, corporate, or employee communications experience (food service/hospitality or multi-site organization experience a plus).

· Proven experience creating clear, concise executive communications and managing the distribution of urgent critical messages within complex organizations.

· Experience serving as a communications business partner to C-suite executives, senior leaders and people/human resource teams.

· Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio of employee-facing work (emails, intranet posts, decks, newsletters, scripts).

· Proficiency with presentation tools (PowerPoint/Canva), intranet/CMS platforms (Inkling and Sharepoint preferred), and email/newsletter tools (Contact Monkey).

· Solid project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and stakeholders.

· Collaborative partner who can build trust with leadership and cross-functional teams.
